Liver & GB Flush 1 & 2 - December 14th – 2008
This is the story of how I began Liver Flushing as part of my cleansing regimen and the details of each of my Liver Flushes from when I began.
I went to the Doctor for a blood test on November 21st, 2008. My Acupuncturist said that she thought I was looking a little bit Jaundiced and wanted to make sure that everything was okay with my Liver. I have been feeling a lot of fatigue lately and very stiff and sore. My energy level has been low. I’ve been experiencing, for several months now, a dull pain in my lower right ribs. My digestion has been fine but I’ve noticed that my stool is a very light brown color and sometimes almost borderlines on being gray.
When my blood test came back I learned that I have elevated Bilirubin in my blood. My Bilirubin is 2.8. That is more than 3 times what it is supposed to be. My Albumin/Globulin Ratio is also high. It is 2.2. That is just slightly out of range but because the range is so broad it could be as high as more than 2 times what it is supposed to be. The rest of my blood work showed that I am very healthy.
I freaked out a little when I got the blood test. My Doctor was a little confused because I seemed so healthy. She said that I might have Gallstones in my Gallbladder. She recommended that I get an Ultra Sound Scan to see.
I started to do my own research about Bilirubin and about Liver stagnation and Gallstones in the Liver & Gallbladder. I found an incredible about of information online. I also started to talk to my friends and other health care professionals who I know who work in alternative healing and medicine. I learned about a book by Andreas Moritz, called “The Amazing Liver & Gallbladder Flush”. I ordered the book from amazon.com.
I was getting a Colonic a few days after my follow up appointment with my Doctor and I asked my friend Aruna, the owner of Colonix Colon Care, if she knew anything about Liver Flushing. I told her about my recent blood work and the results. She said that she had done several Flushes and she recommended the Andreas Moritz book. A lot of people were pointing me toward this book. I told her I had already ordered it from amazon.com. She gave me a flyer that was in her office that had come from one of Dr. Schultz’s Liver Cleansing Kits. I read the flyer while I waited for my appointment with her.
The more I read about the Liver & Gallbladder and Liver & Gallbladder Flushing, the more I felt that I was a prime candidate for someone who has Gallstones. I had a number of the symptoms that were listed that were probably the result of Gallstones in my Liver and Gallbladder. Gallstones in the Liver and Gallbladder obstruct the flow of bile and inhibit the Liver from doing it’s job of cleaning the blood and aiding in digestion and regulating the many endocrine systems of the body. I learned as I continued my research just how important the Liver is to our body.
In all of the material that I came across and in several discussions with a few different professionals in different fields of health and wellness I learned that the Liver is THE essential organ in the body, the MOST important organ in the body, the ORGAN that you don’t want to ever have a problem with. This was exciting for me to learn but it was also a little bit scary, as this WAS the ORGAN that I was having a problem with.
Liver & Gallbladder Flush 1
I decided to do the Dr. Schulze Liver & Gallbladder Flush while I waited for the Andreas Moritz book to arrive. The Dr. Schultze Store in Marina Del Rey is near where I live. I picked up the Liver Cleansing/Flushing Kit.
The Dr. Schulze’s Flush is a Five Day Flush. It involves diet recommendations and limitations and comes with a mixture of herbs to help with the cleansing of the Liver as well as instructions on how to create a “Flush Drink”.
The Dr. Schultze Flush is divided into a day of preparation, three days of Flushing the Liver with the Flush drink and a fifth day for recovery. The Dr. Schultze Flush drink is composed of garlic, ginger, olive oil and freshly squeezed juice. For more information about Dr. Schultze and his Liver Flush Kit visit: www.drschulze.com.
I felt great during the five days I was doing the Flush. It might have been what Western medicine refers to as the “Placebo Effect”, or the Flush itself might have actually worked. It was hard for me to tell, as I didn’t really know what to expect.
My research online had yielded several other Liver & Gallbladder Flushes that resembled the Dr. Schultze Flush but were a little different.
The Dr. Schulze Flush Drinks are taken in the morning. Dr. Schulze doesn’t recommend preparing for the Flush with apple juice or malic acid pills. He also didn’t mention the use of Epsom Salts, which the other Flush experts had recommended were necessary for a successful Flush.
My conclusion is that I don’t know if my Flush was successful or not. I think the five days were healthy and detoxifying but I don’t think I actually flushed out any Gallstones.
UPDATE:
I read online that fasting for four days and drinking only Apple Juice during the four days leading up to the Flush is recommended by several experts.
I found a Flush recipe online that sounded more like what a few of my friends and Aruna had told me they had done in the past. I decided to try this Flush and see if I had different results than the Dr. Schultze Flush. In my continued research, I started to realize that I would actually be able to see the Gallstones coming out in my stool if the Flush was successful. I don’t think I actually flushed any Gallstones out with the Dr. Schultze Flush.
UPDATE:
Liver & Gallbladder Flush 2
I tried the Liver & Gallbladder Flush last night. I used a recipe that I found online that was recommended by Hulda Clark, who is one of the authorities on Liver Flushing, along with Andreas Moritz. (There’s also a number of people online who think she is a total nut job…) The book from amazon.com has not come in yet. I’m looking forward to reading it to see how the information compares to what I have learned so far.
I prepared for the Flush by fasting all day. I then continued my preparation by drinking ¾ cup of water with a tablespoon of Epsom salts at 6pm. I repeated this with another ¾ cup of water and another tablespoon of Epsom salts at 8pm. I mixed a ½ cup of olive oil with a ½ cup of fresh squeezed lemon and orange juice. At 10pm I downed the olive oil and juice. This is the actual Flush drink. I went to bed shortly afterwards.
It is the day after I drank the Flush drink. I didn’t have a good night’s sleep. I felt nauseous for most of the night. I had a 3rd Epsom Salts drink at 6am and then a 4th Epsom Salts drink at 8am. I had my first Bowel Movement at around 10am.
I passed what might have been several stones. My stool has been soft and thick. Not quite diarrhea but like a thick brown sludge. The stones were in the sludge and were white in color. I’m not too sure if they were actually stones or not, or something that I ate that wasn’t digested.
I’ve had diarrhea all morning. This must be because of the Epsom Salts. I just returned from the toilet and I counted one Greenish/Black-Colored stone. I am positive this is a Gallstone. This is the first stone that looks exactly like the pictures that I have seen posted online. So, I may have passed several stones this Flush, or maybe just this one so far. I’m not too sure.
Update:
Just went again and passed four more Greenish-Colored stones. These ones were quite small. The first one I passed was the size of a large pea. These last four were about half that size.
Update:
Just had another Bowel Movement. I passed 6 more stones this time. These ones were all pretty small. Three were so small that they were like little kernels of rice. It’s easy to see the stones because the only thing I am passing now is liquid. The sludge that was coming out earlier is all gone. I am now only passing a light brown colored, almost clear, liquid and the few stones that are also coming out with the liquid. The stones are easy to see. I’m convinced that these last few were all Gallstones. They have all had the same Dark Green/Black-Color and look like nothing that I could’ve eaten. This brings the total to 11 that I believe are Gallstones for sure. I’m not sure if the others were actual stones or not.
Update:
I’m still having diarrhea and it is very painful. My anus burns after each time I go and when I wipe with toilet paper there is a little redness on the toilet paper that looks like blood. My stomach still feels upset.
I drank some apple juice a moment ago and had some kefir on granola and a bit of left over popcorn.
Update:
I just had another Bowel Movement. I’m still having diarrhea and it is still quite painful afterwards. I wonder if the Epsom salts is irritating my bowels? Maybe I took too much? I counted 3 or 4, pea sized, stones this time and close to 15 smaller stones. The total was approximately 20. This brings the overall total to 31! The Flush has been a definite success so far! We’ll see how many more come out as the day continues.
Update:
Just had another Bowel Movement. Wow! Not fun. I’m glad I am near a toilet. 6 more stones. A couple of medium to small, pea sized ones and the others were quite small. These stones were all dark green colored and black, just like the others. This brings the total to 37!
Update:
Still going. It’s 4pm. I just had another Bowel Movement and passed 6 more stones. There’s not much coming out now though. Some gas and some clear liquid but not very much. There’s no more fecal matter. This brings the total up to 43 stones!
Update:
Additional Flush - December 19th – 2008
I decided to do another Flush last night after having what I’ve learned is called a “Gallstone Attack”. I suddenly felt pain in my upper right abdomen. I was reading the Andreas Moritz book and was planning my next Flush. It wasn’t ideal circumstances because I didn’t fast all day and I hadn’t done any preparation but I figured it would at least help to stimulate my Liver and might make me feel better. I also couldn’t just sit around and wait. I needed to do something proactive.
I thought I would pass more stones today because last night when I did the Flush I could feel things moving from my Liver into my small intestine. It was really weird but I could feel what I imagined were the stones moving out of the Liver right after I did the Flush.
I haven’t passed a lot of stones today but I’ve had diarrhea all day. Unlike the last Flush, it has been dark brown and not clear this time. There’s an oily substance that is floating on the surface of the water in the toilet bowl after each B.M.
I passed two really LARGE stones. These must have been what were causing the “Gallstone Attacks”. They both were almost flat on one side and almost an inch across on the other two sides. They were definitely Gallstones. They were a greenish-dark brown color. I can’t believe how big they were! Crazy!
Hopefully, more to come.
